Prior to becoming a gemologist, Jenny worked as a professional historic archaeologist and mining historian in Nevada and throughout the United States. This background provides a unique knowledge of antique jewelry and jewelry history, precious metals in the market, and gemstone mining. Her appraisals take a holistic approach with providing any additional research. Like artifact analysis, jewelry appraisals provide scientific information and documentation for the purpose of knowledge and making sure your most important items are insured properly within the current market.
She has spent years in the jewelry industry and received her Graduate Gemology degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
As a GIA-certified appraiser, she specializes in diamond grading and can accurately evaluate the 4Cs (carat weight, cut, color, and clarity) of your diamond to determine its value.
If you have inherited an estate and do not know what you have, Jenny will take the time to sit down with you to go over everything with preliminary testing, sorting, and recommendations on what requires an appraisal.
The most common types of appraisals are for insurance replacement value to make sure your items are protected and fair market value if you are looking to sell your jewelry or divide an estate.
For fair pricing and personalized and professional service, call or text Jenny today to set up your appointment!
